In desperate housewives, Bree, as a child is taught the use of ‘a mask’ - the face you wear when you don’t want people to know how you’re feeling.
Bree was taught from a young age by her mother that if she hid her emotions, she’d have power over men.
I may start doing this, seems like a good way to stay in control when someone say’s or does something which hurts you.
